
S&N would like to congratulate the first class of FBA OpTIC PATH graduates at Indiana Electric Cooperatives! The class was held at the IEC facility in Carmel, IN, as a collaborative effort between S&N, IEC, and the Fiber Broadband Association.
Instructors were Andy Gibson, VP of Fiber Services at S&N, Adam Lock, Safety & Risk Management Instructor for IEC, and Matt Figg, Safety & Training Specialist for Hoosier Energy.
Participating Cooperatives included Decatur County REMC, Hendricks Power, Johnson County REMC, Lagrange Co REMC, Miami-Cass REMC, Ninestar Connect, and Southeastern IN REMC.
The FBA OpTIC Path™ course consists of 120 hours of hands-on centric training to equip fiber technicians with the skills and knowledge required to install, splice, test and maintain optical fiber networks.
