Haney is a rare breed in the construction industry with both technical and operational knowledge of all work functions. He also represents the S&N commitment to recognizing a certain work ethic and developing those employees by providing ever challenging assignments. Haney started working in the communications construction industry in 1996 as a laborer and was promoted to crew Foreman in 2003 after proving his knowledge of both aerial, lineman, buried and underground construction operations and equipment.
Haney proved his managerial capabilities during the largest nationwide fiber optic build in communications history as a local manager on the Verizon FTTP project in 2010 where he was responsible for coordinating and placing fifteen miles of buried pathway a week. This mileage does not include aerial path creation of 729,000 feet weekly. During the FTTP Project between 2010 and 2012 Travis directly supervised twenty-two field supervisors with an overall workforce exceeding six hundred workers. In the Fall of 2012, Travis was recognized for his commitment to customer relations, safety and damage prevention by the Company President and promoted to Regional Manager Construction.
As delivery of Broadband services to Rural America continues into the second decade of the 21st century, along with the company’s operational footprint, we continue to provide opportunities for our top performers. Haney’s knowledge, leadership, and contributions in developing direct reports led to his most recent promotion to Vice President of Operations.
